Join CSUEB faculty and students, as well as faculty from around the Bay Area, California and the nation in an afternoon conference on academic freedom in America, with presentations by nationally prominent specialists, CSUEB faculty and students on the history and practice of academic freedom in universities, community colleges, libraries, and faculty unions, including a keynote address by renowned feminist scholar Joan Wallach Scott, Harold Linder Professor of Social Science, Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, New Jersey.
The conference will be followed by a gala evening celebration of the American Association of University Professors' centennial year and of AAUP First Vice-President and CSUEB history professor Hank Reichman's retirement.
